Overview:
The roots of IIM Ltd. can be tracked back to 1995 when the company first started Internet marketing. At this time, industry buzzwords like “SEM (Search Engine Marketing)”, especially in the field of real estate, were virtually non-existent. Two other websites were launched in that year: Amazon.com and Ebay.
In 1995, El Dorado Ranch was a very small real estate development in a little known town of San Felipe, Baja Mexico. IIM staff, then operating as International Club Management, was contracted by Club Acquisition Company to develop an online marketing plan that would help to transform not only the company’s marketing strategies but the Baja landscape itself.

Results:
After the initial analysis and planning stages, the first El Dorado Ranch website was launched in early 1996. Pioneering search engine strategies and online marketing plans were executed over the next few years and by 2000, annual website visitors numbered in the tens of thousands, and online lead generation grew exponentially. Then, like today, IIM focused on the bottom line – results.
As sales grew and the company rapidly expanded, a portfolio of websites including information portals and the associated marketing plans were developed and implemented. By 2006, annual website traffic on the El Dorado Ranch and IIM-developed portals for San Felipe numbered in the hundreds of thousands. Because of the geographic location of the development, effective online presentation and marketing plans were critical to maintaining visibility in the global marketplace.
What began as a single development with one website mushroomed into the largest real estate development in Baja, Mexico. Due to this success, the development made US/Mexican history in 2001 by privatizing 35,000 acres of land. Never before had the Mexican Government granted such a large track of land to a U.S. Developer. El Dorado Ranch would become the recipient of a number of awards including the 2006 "Baja Developer of the Year" from the Mexican Government. Today, with over 9,000 property owners, this once tiny organization accounts for an estimated 60% of the areas local economy.
IIM Internet initiatives have and continue to be the #1 source of lead generation for the organization.
